Here are some great things to know about window tinting

First of all, it’s a fantastic product. Did you know that the scratch resistant coating that all the films come with is something that was invented at NASA? Yes, that’s the case.

VARIETY

There are beautiful neutral tints, ranging anywhere from barely visible to very dark. There are also grey, smoke and bronze tints, also ranging from very light to very dark.

GLARE

If you have a room, or office, in which you use a computer, you might notice that there’s too much glare coming from the windows. Window tinting will really help with that.

Picture windows, too, are improved with window tinting. We have a very large picture window. The glare was so intense sometimes that it was actually hard to see anything. Even extremely light film reduces the glare enough to make all the difference.

Same with windows that overlook one of the many lakes, or the bay.

FADING

Three things cause fading: Ultraviolet radiation, heat, abd visible light.

Because there's an Ultraviolet light (UV) inhibiting chemical mixed into all the components of the film that filters out 99% of UV, film does a tremendous job in
reducing fading of your hardwood floors, carpets, rugs, curtains, blinds, furniture and art on the wall.

EVEN CLEAR FILMS (ESPECIALLY SUITABLE FOR STORE FRONTS) FILTER OUT 99%UV.

SAFETY

Window film keeps the glass together if it shatters. You’re completely safe from injuries due to flying glass shards. That’s great in case of high winds, earthquakes, burglary, or accidental breakage.

SECURITY

Films can be anywhere from 2-12 mil thick. The thicker, the more security. If you have a store front, restaurant, or ground floor office that could make all the difference. No smash and grab possible now.

And even if you live in a ground floor apartment and are worried, security film will make breaking in by breaking glass extremely difficult.

GRAFFITI

If you have a storefront, you might want to consider graffiti film. If you get vandalized it costs a tiny fraction (hundreds of dollars, instead of thousands) to replace the film (installed on the outside) compared with replacing glass.
